Tournament information

PLAYERS GENERAL INFORMATION

The 24th GFDD Golf Tournament 2026 will take place on Tuesday 10 th of March 2026 at CRANDON GOLF KEY BISCAYNE” in the city of Key Biscayne, Florida. The tee-time format will be under the
"SHOT-GUN" system.

1. REQUIREMENTS TO PARTICIPATE

Only players who formalize their enrollment may participate by registering through the digital form by accessing to "Player Enrollment" in our tournament website www.gfddgolftournament.com, where you will also find additional information about the tournament and the foundation.

2. GAME FORMAT AND AWARDS

It will be played under the modality “2-MEN SCRAMBLE”, playing as a team, assigning as Team Handicap TWENTY FIVE (25%) of the sum of both players handicaps.

 

Limited Quota: 120 Players (60 Teams In Total )

  • FLIGHT B   - (Team Handicap 6.5 to 12 )

Flight A:
Team Handicap: 0 to 6.4 | Tee: White | Awards: 2-Gross  2-Net

Flight B:
Team Handicap: 6.5 to 12 | Tee: White | Awards: 2-Gross  2-Net

Other prizes :
• Longest Drive: 1 award.
• Closest to the pin in all the par 3: 5 awards.
Best NET SCORE "Overall" among all the teams that participated.
The "GFDD CUP" for the Best GROSS SCORE “Overall” among all the teams that participated.    

Note: Maximum Handicap allowed per Player: 24

3. COST AND ENROLLMENT DEADLINE

The minimum contribution to participate is US$800.00 per player.

 

The Enrollment Deadline is on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 6:00 PM. Only enrollment payment guarantees your participation.

 

The participation fee includes: Golf tournament, Welcome kit, Souvenirs, Practice balls, snacks, drinks on the golf course and the Awards Dinner.

4. TOURNAMENT OPENING

The honor shot that will get the tournament inaugurated will take place at 12:15 PM at the “Putting Green”. All players must be present.

5. PLAYING TIME (“PACE OF PLAY”)

The playing time (“Pace Of Play”) for the full round of the 18 Holes is 4 Hours and 50 Minutes. Teams determined to play slower could be punished with penalty strokes.

6. GOLF CARTS

All players must use golf carts. (They are included in the tournament registration fee).

7. CADDIES

Each player will be able to use a Caddie if they wish and bring one, but Caddies will NOT be available on the golf course. The club does not have caddies.

8. RENTAL EQUIPMENT

There will be rental equipment (Golf Clubs) available directly at the Pro-Shop. The player who requires one must go directly to request and pay it on their own.

9. DRIVING RANGE - PRACTICE BALLS

All participants may use the driving range on the day of the tournament. Practice balls are included in the registration fee.

10. PRACTICE ROUND

There is no practice round included. Each player must, on their own, make the reservation and manage it directly with the club. The registration fee for the tournament does NOT include a practice round.

11. TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR

The Director of the Tournament will be Mr. Carlos Arias and may issue a decision if any violation of the golf rules or the local rules of the tournament is observed or reported.

12. GOLF RULES

The rules of golf to apply will be from the "United States Golf Association" (USGA).

13. RULES COMMITTEE

Their decisions will be taken by a majority of the members present.

Their functions are:

1. Decide on any matter failed by the Tournament Director related to golf rules or local rules that are presented by a player.

2. Approve local rules.

14. TOURNAMENT VALIDITY

The tournament will be played for a total of 18 holes. If, for weather conditions, the Organizing Committee decides to suspend it to safeguard the safety of all participants or because there are no conditions to continue the game, the first 9 holes played of each team will be counted (applying hole played handicap to the score), in order to formalize the event. The format remains unchanged. If the first 9 holes played cannot be completed, the Tournament Director will decide on this.

15. PROCEDURES IN CASES OF TIES

In the case of ties for any place, the net score obtained in the hole identified as handicap 1 of the golf course will be taken. If the tie still persists, the same result will be followed with the result of the hole handicap 2 , and so on until the dissolution of the tie and decide the champion and/or the following places. For the "Gross" award will be the same procedure, taking the gross results on the corresponding holes.

CRANDON GOLF KEY BISCAYNE IS A SOFT SPIKE FACILITY. NO METAL SPIKES ALLOWED.

All teams must be present in their starting hole by or less 10 minutes before starting time. If a team shows up at the starting hole, within 5 minutes after the starting time, there will be a penalty of two strokes that will be added to the first hole played, and if there are circumstances that allow the disqualification penalty established in the rules of golf, will be in the consideration of the Tournament Director.
